Kyle Davidson, 39

After an 11-year career in the government sector, Kyle Davidson sought a change that would let him work outdoors and in a field with growth potential. He took a position with Spotless Pools in Gilbert, Arizona.

Davidson later left for Tropical Water Pools, where he became the service manager. With the sale of Tropical Water Pools in January 2022 to NPP, Davidson was named branch manager, and today is general manager for the newly rebranded Aquaman Pools East branch.

As part of NPP, Davidson wants to push the boundaries of the service industry. “I love the potential our industry has for growth, both in size and respect level,” he says. “With Arizona being the pool mecca, there is infinite potential.”

Davidson wants to be rid of the outdated “pool boy” stigma, raising the pool service industry to that of HVAC or electrical companies and seeing trade schools and apprenticeships for repair technicians.

“I want to help shape the pool industry into a place where people can make a long-term career out of their employment, where someone can join our team in an entry-level position, obtain training, certifications and education and climb the ladder to where they see fit, being a long-term employee proud of their career.”
