Despite her father Jack encouraging Nadia Beane to work in whatever field she wanted, she found her passion at Jack’s Magic Products, the chemical company he founded 30 years ago.

“Through high school and university, I worked in all aspects of the company — from receptionist to tradeshow coordination to production and administration,” Beane says. She got a  degree in recreation and event management from the University of Florida, and after graduating, helped fill in the gaps at Jack’s Magic during a particularly busy summer season. She never left.

In addition to running all aspects of the multimillion-dollar business, Beane also serves on the National Plasterers Council board of directors. “For many years, Jack would travel the country to give educational seminars and training classes to different segments of the industry,” Beane says. “Because of that, I have always found education to be of the utmost importance. Attending courses, teaching Jack’s Magic classes, being involved in technical writing and staying informed is something that I see continuing in the future.”

She also hopes she can pay it forward. “While I was at the University of Florida, I was very fortunate to receive multiple swimming pool industry scholarships that helped further my education,” Beane says. “Those scholarships were so important to me and my future, and I couldn’t be more grateful. As a result, I hope to be able to give back and contribute to scholarships and education tenfold, both those in the swimming pool industry and those in our local area.”
