CCEI Sponsors Robotic Team in New York Competition

CCEI, a manufacturer of automation, controller and lighting systems, sponsored a robotics team in the FIRST Tech International Robotics Competition in March. The Long Island, New York, competition brings together over 8,000 teams from across the world. 

The competition encourages high schoolers to work in fields such as engineering, innovation and the evolution of technology. CCEI’s financial contribution was used to purchase parts and tools for the robots and helped with other costs associated with the competition.

For their efforts in the dayslong competition, the team won the Imagery Award created in honor of comic book illustrator Jack Kamen, which recognizes robotic engineering with outstanding visual and aesthetic integration.
