Every Child a Swimmer Collaborates with Florida Legislation

ecasnews

The Every Child a Swimmer program announced its collaboration with the SB 544 legislation to guarantee children acquire swimming skills and become proficient swimmers.

SB 544, legislation recently passed in Florida that will go into effect in July 2024, requires the Florida Department of Health to create a program that establishes a network of swimming lesson instructors in each county and offers vouchers for free swimming lessons to low-income families.

As SB 544 begins to take effect, the Every Child A Swimmer initiative will continue to play a critical role in supporting its implementation and advocating for its expansion.
