Franklin Electric Announces Little Giant Main Drain Pump
Franklin Electric of Fort Wayne, Indiana, has announced the launch of the Little Giant Main Drain Pump. Continuous duty-rated to remove standing water during the swimming pool cleaning process, the Main Drain Pump’s powerful submersible design is built to withstand the harsh chemicals used to reduce algae growth.
“Creating a unit that met the needs of pool maintenance professionals was important to us,” says Gage Anderson, business unit manager for pool and garden at Little Giant. “The bottom inlet screen on the Main Drain Pump is designed to fit inside most swimming pool main drains measuring up to 8-inches in diameter, and the 3/4 horsepower, PSC motor moves over 4,000 gallons per hour — so professionals can quickly get on to the next job.”
The unit also offers several design features that enhance durability and ease of use, including a chemical-resistant, FKM triple-lip seal. The extra-long 25-foot cord and built-in handle aid with portability and versatility. Each unit includes a ¾-inch garden hose adapter and a 1-½-inch diameter hose barb adapter for added convenience. To maintain performance, it’s recommended the unit is flushed clean with water after every use and not run dry.
