Heritage Pool adds new locations
In late September, McKinney, Texas-based Heritage Pool Supply Group, a network of independent distributors, announced the addition of nine new locations across the southeast with the acquisition of Pool Builders Supply of the Carolinas, a wholesale distributor of pool and spa products in the Southeast. Terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Pool Builders Supply was founded in 1976 by Olsen and Betty Morgan, and had since been run by their children, Taryn Springsteed and Matt Morgan. The company operates nine distribution locations across North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia and Tennessee.
Springsteed, Morgan and the rest of the company’s leadership team will continue to lead Pool Builders Supply’s dedicated employee base under the new brand banner.
“We are thrilled to partner with Taryn and Matt, and are honored to have the hard-working employees of PBS join our growing family of companies,” says Matt McDermott, president of Heritage. “We always look for partners with great passion for customers and employees, and PBS is a model organization for both.”
Springsteed, VP and owner of PBS, commented, “To say I am proud of all our accomplishments over the last 48 years is an understatement. We have gone from a single warehouse in Charlotte, North Carolina, to nine branches in five states throughout the southeast. After spending time with the Heritage team, I saw many parallels to our company, including a commitment to their employees as well as the importance of customer service. Not only am I certain that Heritage will be able to provide PBS with the additional resources needed to fuel our growth, but I am also confident they have the programs that will provide additional opportunities for our employees professionally and financially. The Heritage model is proven, and we look forward to building the most positive force in the industry together for many years to come.”
