Jacob Cummins dove into the pool industry as a technical sales manager at Zodiac, focusing on growing the aftermarket presence for service providers. His role involved understanding technical troubleshooting in the field and leveraging that expertise to boost sales among service companies. This hands-on experience laid the foundation for his current position as a territory sales manager, where he aims to expand Fluidra’s equipment presence in both new construction and the aftermarket segments.

Cummins appreciates the fun and supportive atmosphere of the pool community and the many opportunities for personal and professional growth. 

“I came from the oil and gas industry, and I found the pool industry to be much more friendly and welcoming,” he says. “Everything we do helps enhance the backyard experience, leading to lifelong memories and enjoyment. Who could hate that?”

As he develops his skills as a sales professional, Cummins is eager to embrace diverse and challenging roles. He’s motivated by the potential for personal growth and the chance to make a difference in the industry as he tries to go above and beyond for each customer. One of his aspirations is to elevate the recognition of professionalism within the pool industry. 

“I would love for our end users to fully recognize the professionalism of our industry,” he says. “I’ve seen major growth in this [area] and hope to continue to see that for many years to come.”
