The IntelliVibe Pool Lighting System, the latest innovation from Pentair Pool, brings endless customization options to pool owners, allowing them to transform their poolscapes. With its advanced features, this system goes beyond lighting to create an immersive experience, offering energy-efficient operation and unmatched control.

Lighting for every pool feature

“These lights enhance the overall aesthetic of the pool by illuminating specific features to stand out at night in any color they want,” says Jeff Zilmer, product manager at Pentair Pool. “Whether it’s a larger pool area, a shallow tanning ledge or sun shelf or landscape features outside the pool, the IntelliVibe system can illuminate any part of the poolscape.” 

Launched in March, the system was developed with energy efficiency in mind. Highly efficient LED technology, independent multizone control and dimming capabilities let pool owners turn on lights only where they need at the desired brightness. Zilmer says this can minimize energy usage and lower energy costs.

The IntelliVibe system offers three luminaire sizes: 

• IntelliVibe Nano: Great for shallow water, steps, landscape and water features in or out of the water 
• IntelliVibe Micro: Mounts in 1.5-inch pool fittings to illuminate pools, spas and sun shelves.
• IntelliVibe Mezzo: A powerful and compact light that illuminates larger pool areas.

Customization and control 

The customization options go beyond simple lighting. Pool owners can match their pool lights with outdoor decor, celebrate holidays, highlight sporting events or adjust lighting to whatever suits their mood. “It’s their pool, their vibe,” Zilmer says.

With 15 million colors, the possibilities are vast. While previous Pentair lights offered fixed color options, IntelliVibe allows users to pick any shade on the color wheel via the Pentair Pool app. The system also offers 12 preprogrammed color-changing light shows for dynamic pool lighting effects.

IntelliCenter integration

IntelliVibe operates exclusively with Pentair’s IntelliVibe Controller and IntelliCenter Pool Control System, which must be connected to a user’s account through the Pentair Pool app to use the IntelliVibe system. The app acts as a centralized control for multiple pool devices, from water features to lights to pumps.

“It’s a fast, user-friendly way to paint the night,” Zilmer says. 

The app’s control features allow users to set up to four lighting zones with independent control, allowing one area of the pool to display a fixed color while another showcases a light show. The dimming capabilities and white temperature selection further elevate the level of control, offering the ability to choose between warm or cool white tones.

While IntelliVibe is compatible with the IntelliCenter system, the lights are not backwards compatible with Pentair’s legacy lights, which include the IntelliBrite Architectural Series Lights, MicroBrite Color and White LED Lights and GLOBrite Color-Changing LED Lights.

Remote monitoring 

The IntelliCenter System provides more than just lighting control — it enables remote monitoring. Laura Bednasz, general manager of automation and lighting at Pentair Pool, highlights the advantages of this feature: “Pool dealers and servicers can monitor over-the-air updates and potentially diagnose a problem remotely, which means fewer trips to customers’ pools, saving time, money and headaches.”

This remote monitoring capability ensures users have access to support and updates without the hassle of in-person service calls, streamlining pool management for owners and service technicians.

Together, the IntelliVibe Lighting System and IntelliCenter Pool Control System provide a connected experience that makes pool management simple. “We’re not just providing a product, we’re providing an experience,” Bednasz says.
