Steve Crowley
Steve Crowley began his career in the pool industry on his 16th birthday, as a stock associate at a local Namco Pool and Patio store. He worked there part-time until he graduated high school, moving to a full-time position through college. He held positions as a sales rep, key-holder and assistant manager. At 19, Crowley was promoted to store manager while also attending college.
After eight years at Namco, Crowley left to become a store manager for a local, small pool company, and worked there for two pool seasons before deciding to do something on his own. In January 2016, Crowley Pool Service opened.
“Although my background was in retail, I took the leap into the service side of the industry knowing I would be able to learn and teach myself as I grew the business,” Crowley says. “Through trial and error, I learned the service side and have made great business connections along the way.” He says CPS has grown tremendously in four short years in business: “As a small, seasonal business, we hustle hard and make the most of our short summer and winter seasons.” It specializes in pool services during summer and pivots to snow plowing in the winter.
Training is taken very seriously at Crowley Pool Service, with employees encouraged to attend every trade show and training opportunity available.
“Owning my pool business has taught me that if you want to succeed, you must be willing to work hard and chase your dreams no matter what obstacles you may face,” Crowley says. “My goal is to continue to grow my business and establish myself as an industry leader. The past four years have had their ups and downs, however, I am confident that our future will be bright and full of opportunities.”
