Thursday Pools Updates Manufacturing Process
Fiberglass pool manufacturer, Thursday Pools, has installed a new thermal oxidizer to its factory — a fume incinerator that reduces VOC emissions by up to 98% — in an effort to decrease the company’s environmental impact. This new piece of equipment will be used to capture volatile organic compounds emitted during the production process.
“We chose to go beyond the requirements of ISO 14001,” says Ed Vondell, COO. “Thursday Pools is deeply committed to doing everything possible to reduce our environmental impact.”
Thursday Pools was certified as an ISO 14001 company in 2019, having achieved very specific environmental performance requirements. The company was also awarded the Environmental Stewardship Program award by the state of Indiana for creating and implementing an environmental management system.
