We’ve given ourselves a 2022 refresh
Anyone in the pool industry knows the importance of design in making an appealing product. If you can’t put your finger on why PoolPro feels a little different this issue, it’s all thanks to our art director, Brittany Alloway. We’re keeping the same overall structure, but Brittany cut the clutter and made the magazine more readable. We’re grateful to her for elevating our look.
This is our pool gal edition. There are amazing women in the swimming pool industry, and they face interesting challenges working in roles traditionally held by men. Despite pushback from customers or others in the industry, women have been making their mark in the industry for decades, with many having started their own companies in service, maintenance and consulting. I have loved watching how the women of the pool industry have formed their own community, supporting, mentoring and helping one another expand their skills and knowledge.
It was a pleasure to see so many of you in Dallas at the Pool | Spa | Patio Expo. I had the honor of presenting two of our 30 Under 40 winners with the first-ever Pool Nation Rookie of the Year awards. You can read more about the awards here, and there are many more events in the next couple months. Stop by our booth at The Pool & Spa Show in Atlantic City, or catch me at the IPSSA weekend of leadership or the National Plasterers Council annual convention.
Happy new year and see you soon!
Best,
